About DAE-YANG

Our Dae-Yang supermarket in Düsseldorf opened in 1984. At that time, Dae-Yang was the only Asian grocery store that offered and sold Japanese goods in addition to Korean products. A special feature of Dae-Yang at that time was, among other things, the sale of various types of fresh fish.
This is also the origin of the name Dae-Yang (composed of the two Hanjas). 大(대;dae) 洋(양; yang), which translates to German large ocean/sea means).

Back then, Dae-Yang was only a quarter of its current size. Other vacant spaces in the same building were added to provide more food storage area.
Over time, Dae-Yang has not only grown in size, but its product range has also steadily expanded. After adding more and more Japanese and Korean goods to the selection, they began selling tableware and household items.
Since its founding, Dae-Yang has thus developed from a small Asian supermarket into an integral part of Düsseldorf.

To this day, we constantly strive to expand our product range, not only to offer our customers a wide selection of products, but also to give people who are not familiar with Asia an insight into Asian food culture and lifestyle.

People who have never been to East Asia or miss it will have the opportunity to experience a bit of it with us. Asia to bring home!

大洋食品は1984年ドイツ・デュッセルドルフで開店し、当時デュッセルドルフで唯一日本、韓国の商品を取り扱うお店でした。

また、日本や韓国の商品以外にも新鮮な魚を取り扱う店としても知られていました。

大洋食品と言う名は魚を取り扱っていた事もあり、「大きな海からの幸」という意味で名付けられました。

開店当時、店舗の大きさは今の半分ほどの大きさしかなく食品等を主に取り扱っておりましたが、後に食品以外にもお客様の日常生活で役に立てるような商品も取り扱うようになりました。

そして今ではアジアの国々のお客様やヨーロッパのお客様で日本、韓国商品等を求めるお客様の生活の一部になれるよう日々努めております。

私たちは商品をただ提供するだけではなく日本や韓国アジアに訪れたことがないお客様にも私たち大洋食品を通じて関心を持って頂けたらと思います。
